Nicholas J. Sawka Sr., age 97, WWII Army Veteran, beloved husband of the late Elizabeth; loving father of Kathy (Dr. John) Pach, Gregory (Susan) and the late Nicholas J., Jr.; dear grandfather of James Pach, John N. Pach, Elizabeth (Cornell) Middlebrook and Ann Sawka; great-grandfather of Nelson, Leila and Lincoln; fond brother of Janet (late Robert, Sr.) Sochowski; nieces and nephews. Member of the American Legion Cicero Post #96. Funeral Services Saturday, Feb. 2 at 10 a.m. from the Sourek Manor Funeral Home, 5645 W. 35th St., Cicero. Interment Acacia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hines VA Hospital Extended Care Center #2C, Bldg. 217 appreciated. Visitation Friday, 4 to 8 p.m. 708-652-6661.
