Myra Castellanos Monterrosa passed away on Wednesday December 14th, 2016. She was a young 44 years old. A devoted mother, girlfriend, sister, and friend. A wonderful, kind & loving human being. She has left behind a 17 year old son & fiancee. Myra was diagnosed with kidney disease over 15 years ago and sadly both kidneys stopped functioning. After much time on dialysis she was extremely lucky and 2 kidneys became available for transplant. Back in September of this year the surgery was a success & she was doing very well. Last week she caught a virus & was very ill for several days & by the time she reached the hospital it was too late. Mayra was a teachers aide for school district 103 in Lyons, Illinois. She had been off work during this process & had just returned to work last month, she had even picked up a part time job at Kohl's to help her family catch up & have money for Christmas gifts. Due to Mayra's illnesses her & her fiancé had liquidated all their available funds. This was unexpected & we are seeking assistance with burial costs. Any help would be greatly appreciated
