Alan Neal

Alan Neal, age 59 years, passed from this life on October 17, 2022. He is at peace, with no more Dialysis or pain. Al was a retired 25-year Employee of the Town of Cicero where he worked in the Violations Department, Records, and The Assessor’s Office through the years. He was a long-time Precinct Captain for The Town of Cicero. He was always referred to as the top precinct captain. He coordinated the Neighborhood Watch Program for The Town of Cicero; his main meeting place was Burnham School. He was also a library board trustee for the Town of Cicero. 

He was a Member of the Berwyn Loyal Order of Moose, and the Knights of Columbus. The world was a better place with Al in it. He was devoted not only to his family but also to the people in his precinct that knew they could always count on him to try to help. He was definitely a people person, loved and appreciated by so many.  

He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Merrie, Son Jason Patnaude (special daughter-in-law Devin), Son Sean Birdwell (Christine), and his grandchildren Angelina Patnaude, Jason Jr. “JJ” Patnaude and his yet-to-be-born granddaughter Mya Amor Patnaude, Zach Lang, Tyler Birdwell, and Mia Birdwell. Sisters Linda Garcia, MaryAnn Benson (Michael), Christina Chi (Wilbert), Ann Cox (Daniel), April Adcox and Angela Dunfrund, and his brother Anthony Dus (Stacy), Brothers in law, Carl Kuznitsky and Daniel Kunitsky, per-deceased by his brother-in-law Peter Kuznitsky, his special aunt Mary Groleau (late uncle Bob) and many nieces and nephews. 

A visitation for Alan will be on Wednesday, October 19th from 3 to 8 p.m. at The Sourek Manor Funeral Home, 5645 W. 35th St, Cicero. On Thursday, October 20th a funeral service will begin at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. and process to Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, IL. For more information call 708-652-6661.
