Andres Amador Cruz

Andres Amador Sr., 62  

Andres passed away peacefully in his sleep while at home on April 21, 2023. 

Andres was born on November 15, 1960, to Jose Guadelupe Amador and Maria de Rocio Cruz Amador in Tampico, Tamaulipas, Mexico.  

At a very young age, he along with his parents and siblings arrived in the Chicago area where he lived most of his life.    

Andres was an avid Chicago sports fan always rooting for the Chicago Bears, Chicago Bulls, Chicago Blackhawks and especially his favorite team, the Chicago Cubs. 

He will be missed by his surviving mother, Maria; sister, Maria Rangel (Jesus); brothers: Gabriel, Antonio (Tricia), Angel (Juanita), Ivan (Marilyn), Carlos, Jonathon and Steven; daughter, Amy; son, Andres Junior; grandchildren, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, and many cousins.  

Services for Andres will be 26 April, 2023, from 3pm-8pm at the Sourek Funeral Home, 5645 W. 35th Street, Cicero IL.
