Andrzej T. Wieckiewicz, 80, of Cicero Illinois, passed away on August 5th, 2021, after a valiant battle with stomach cancer. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 12th, 2021, at St.Mary of Czestochowa at 10:00 AM 3010 48th Ct, Cicero IL 60804). Burial will follow the funeral atResurrection Catholic Cemetery at11:30AM. A luncheon will follow the burial at1:00PM at Janosik restaurant (9126 S Roberts Rd, Hickory Hills, IL 60457.) Funeral arrangements are being handled by Sourek Funeral Home. Andrzej was born in Poland on09/27/1940 to Jozef and AlfredaWieckiewicz. He graduated from high school and continued to receive a Masters in TextileEngineering from PolitechnikaŁódzkaAndrzej was married to Elizabeth on 02/22/1986; they were married 35 years. Andrzej was a devoted father and husband. He worked as a HousekeepingManager for The Millard Group at Loyola University Chicago for many years. He enjoyed various sports, music, reading, and good company. Andrzej is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; his son, Paul and his wife Janna; his son, Arthur; his granddaughter, Evienne; his brother Jozef; his sister Barbara (her husband Karl); his sister Stefania; and other family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to St. Mary of Czestochowa Parish. passed away on July 30, 2021, at the age of 85.
