Basilisa Miranda

Basilisa was a loving mother, devoted friend, and a hardworking woman whose strength and kindness touched everyone who knew her. She worked at Ferro’s, where she was known for her dedication, caring spirit, and willingness to help others. No matter what challenges life brought, Basilisa never gave up and always faced life with courage and determination.

She found joy in the things she loved most — spending time and helping family and friends, she loved going to concerts and to the casino, and creating memories with the people she cared about. Her laughter, warm heart, and loving nature will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Basilisa is survived by her beloved children, Salvador, Menfis, and Rocy, along with many family members and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Her legacy of love, kindness, and perseverance will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Sourek Funeral Home, 5645 W. 35th St, Cicero, IL, 60804. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Procopius Church, 1641 S Allport St, Chicago, IL 60608. Burial will be held at St Mary Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleums Cemetery, 87th Street & S Hamlin Ave, Evergreen Park, IL 60805.
