Bethy Aracely Monterrosa

Bethy Aracely Monterrosa Castro, 72, passed away peacefully on March 1st, 2024 with family by her side. She was born on Feb 1, 1952 in Atiquizalla, Ahuachapan to Jose Ruben Monterrosa and Julia Castro. She is survived by her Daughter and Son, Four Grandchildren, Great Granddaughter, and her beloved brothers and sisters.
Bethy was a fighter and a woman of perseverance and strength, against the many challenges she faced - including her journey to the United States from El Salvador, she was passionate about life and was always there for those in need. She will be remembered for her love of cooking, cumbia, and the Beatles. She touched the lives of many through her kindness, compassion and creativity.
Bethy’s departure has left a void in the lives of those who knew her, but her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were touched by her presence. May she now rest in peace in the presence of our God. Until we meet again. A visitation for Bethy will be held on Tuesday, March 5th from 3 to 8 p.m. at The Sourek  Funeral Home located at 5645 W. 35th St., Cicero, IL 60804.
