Dorothy V. Trobl

Dorothy V. Trobl, 93, of Cicero, passed away on August 25, 2020, with loving family members at her side. She was born in Chicago, IL, to Martin and Marie Pesa. Dorothy married the love of her life, John F. Trobl, on August 31, 1946. They were married just short of 74 wonderful years. Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband John; her parents Martin and Marie Pesa; and her sister, Evelyn Hall. Dorothy passed away after a hard fought battle from cancer. She demonstrated amazing resilience and strength during the final weeks of her life. She taught us to always stay strong and never give up. We will miss her little humorous remarks and expressions. She loved the city of Chicago and going to the theater with family and friends. Dorothy’s greatest love was her family. Dorothy is survived by her daughters Janice, and late husband Tom Kasperski, Cindy and her husband Joseph Rilo, and son John Trobl and his wife Antoinette; sisters Eleanor Mensinga and Lorraine Chynoweth; her grandchildren Jason, Ryan, Danielle, Jessica, Alyssa and Marissa; sister-in-law Dorothy Pluckebaum and brother-in-law Robert Pluckebaum; and nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Joliet Area Community Hospice for the wonderful care they provided for Dorothy. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 2nd from 5 to 8 p.m at The Sourek Manor Funeral Home, 5645 W. 35th Street, Cicero, IL 60804. On Thursday, September 3rd, a Funeral Mass will be given at Sourek Funeral Home, 5645 W. 35th Street, Cicero, IL 60804.
