Eliezer “Ali” J. Matias

On January 23, 2023, Eliezer “Ali” J. Matias transitioned to join his mother Elvia, brother LaShawn, and other beloved relatives in heaven.  Ali was born on September 26, 1982, in Chicago, IL.  He was a loving son, brother, friend, and most importantly a great father!

He is survived by his five children, Ariana, Melo, Mya, A.J., and Esteban.  And his siblings Flora, Eliezia, David, Erika, and Erik as well as extended family. 

Ali was a good man who loved his family and friends tremendously.  He would do anything for his loved ones. And cared deeply about making sure everyone was okay.

Throughout his life, Ali accomplished many things.  He was a lifeguard for the Chicago Park District, a dedicated member of the trucking industry for twenty years, and the best accomplishment of all being a dad to his children.

Those that knew him will always remember his great sense of humor, his fun-loving spirit, and his love of sports such as basketball, boxing, and MMA.

Ali will be greatly missed.  We will love you always and forever!
