Frances Rusch Zajac Frances passed away October 24 at the age of 95 from complications of pneumonia. She fought a brave and hard fight, and she will be missed dearly by her family, friends, and her former colleagues. Frances was married to Joseph, who loved and adored her until the day he died at age 58. Together they raised a large beautiful family, and are survived by their 6 children -- JoAnne (Ronald) Chmiel, Jacqueline (David) Marcus, Thomas Zajac, Patricia (Olaf) Repak, Janet (Dan) Filippin, Susan (Patrick) Zajac-Clark, 10 grandchildren -- James, Joseph, John, Jon, Michelle, Evan, Jordan, Zack, Molly and Erik, and 7 great- grandchildren -- Maddie, Livi, Aidan, Miles, Flynn, Malori and Brooks. In addition to her busy life raising her family, Frances moved up the ranks in the banking industry to retire as Vice President and Treasurer of Mutual Federal Savings in Chicago at the age of 77. Frances was also a master knitter and seamstress, and many who knew her have been blessed with her beautiful afghans, "scrubbies" and beautiful Halloween costumes. One of Frances' favorite sayings was "If something is worth doing, it is worth doing right," and that is exactly how she did her life. Well done, Mom. A visitation for Frances will be held on Friday, October 29th from 3 to 8 p.m. at The Sourek Manor Funeral Home, 5645 W. 35th St., Cicero. Funeral services will begin on Saturday, October 30th at 10:15 a.m. to Our Lady of Charity Church for 11:00 a.m. Mass. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, IL.
