Ignacio R. Vega

Ignacio Vega Sr., age 89, of Cicero, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 28, 2020. Ignacio also known as Nacho was born in Alice, Texas on January 26th, 1931. He moved to Chicago and worked for Central Can Company from which he retired. He was predeceased by his wife of 40 years, Amalia Vega whom they met in Monterrey, Mexico and his oldest son, Ignacio Vega Jr. who is survived by his wife Maria Vega. Ignacio is survived by his children Jose (Leticia) Vega, Maria (Florentino) Davila, Noel Vega, Juanita (Glenn) Stears, and Javier Vega. His 19 grandchildren Ignacio Vega III, Hector Vega, Michael Vega, Mario Vega, Daisy Vega, Estibaliz Vega, Damariz Vega, Florentino Davila Jr., David Davila, Daniel Davila, Anthony Davila, Susan Vega, Kristy Vega, Jonathan Stears, Haley Cordts, Shelley Stears, Andrew Stears, Javier Vega Jr, and Nicholas Vega; 20 great-grandchildren. Brothers Felipe Vega and Jesus Vega. The funeral service will be scheduled on May 19th at Mary Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
