Loyal husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, proud and affectionate great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather, brother, and dear friend at heart, rest in peace surrounded by his family and loved ones.
Ismael was born in Tarimoro Gto, Mexico, on July 19, 1936, to his parents Teresa Patiño and Jesus de Dios Martinez. He grew up with 2 sisters, Ana (deceased) and Elena (deceased), and 4 brothers, Rodolfo (deceased), Moises (deceased), Audifas (deceased), and Juan.
At the age of 13, he left his beloved town, settling in Chicago at 29, thus beginning his great legacy of love, strength, and joy, uniting many in friendship and harmony.
Ismael married the love of his life, Vicenta Hernandez, on February 2, 1954. Together, they raised 9 children: Rodolfo (deceased), Guadalupe, Tomasa, Maria Vicenta, Anita, Virginia, Sonia, Lucia, and Ismael Jr. He had the joy of knowing 34 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
He was a hardworking and responsible man, a true warrior who fought a long battle with his illnesses. Ismael loved life, but his time came, and the pain ended. Merciful God took him into His arms.
Loved by many, he will forever live in our hearts.
