It is with great sadness and loving remembrance we announce the passing of Jesus “Chuy” Garcia. Jesus was born September 30th, 1979 in Chicago, Il and went home on July 13, 2026. He was 46 years old.
Jesus was and remains a presence and a light that can never be extinguished. His inner strength brought him through a difficult childhood and carried him through his trials and tribulations as a young adult. Jesus was fiercely loyal, protectively loving, and infinitely giving. He made sure smiles and laughter were abundant and that you were secure knowing that he loved you with no judgments. He was a proud Chicago Cubs fan. He loved anime, gaming, going on trips and spending time with loved ones. Above all, he was a devoted and loving father to his son, Liam.
Jesus would want us all to always remember that we were fiercely loved by him. He would want Liam to remember that he is endlessly and unconditionally loved. For Liam’s mother, Calease, to know that she will always be family. He would want his brothers to be strong and united; for his sisters to feel his hugs and love. He would want his nieces and nephews to stay cool. He would want his mother to know he is at peace. Above all he would want family unity and love.
Jesus is survived by his son Liam Miguel and Liam’s mother Calease; his mother Julia and stepfather Jose Zavala; his brother Agustin, his wife Lourdes, their children Brianna, Adonis, Isabella, Lillian, Alias, Gedeon, and Eli; his sister Agripina, her husband Rosalio, their sons Antonio and Jovanni, his wife Alexi, their children Aiden, Jordan, Alyeus and Khelani; his brother Jose Jr., his wife Cindy, their children Kaylee, Ella, Jonah and Moses; and his sister Kayla, her husband Edwin and daughter Elayla; his sister Elizabeth.
Jesus’ presence will be missed deeply and daily. His love, laughter, and light will continue to shine through all who loved him and called him friend, brother, son, and dad.
