Julia A. Pilarski

Julia Pilarski,96, resident of Cicero, wife of the late Eugene "Skip" Pilarski, passed away peacefully at home on May 25, 2021. Mother of Cheryl (Edward) Jendraszewski, Deborah (Dennis) Petroskus, Charles (Sabina) Pilarski and David (Jody) Pilarski. Grandmother and Great-grandmother to many. A Registered Nurse before getting married, that skill came in handy many times while raising her four children. Julie was a longtime employee of Cicero School District #99. Her first love was her family. She was a room mother, Cub Scout Den Mother, and member of the Drexel P.T.A. The highlight of the school year for her was always the Fun Fairs of the late 60s/ early 70s. She was involved in it from planning to cleanup. She loved to travel. Every summer the family would go to a different destination. As close as Wisconsin or further to Texas or South Dakota. Later in life, she would travel to most states, Canada and Europe. A very independent woman, Mom drove and lived on her own until she was sidelined by the onset of dementia in the last few years. She will be missed and remembered by many. In lieu of flowers, please spend the money on your family. Mom would have liked that.
