Mary Siwy Svoboda

Mary Siwy Svoboda, age 73 of Cicero, Illinois, died on Monday, November 2, 2020. She was born on July 31, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois, to John and Helen (Sagan) Siwy of Chicago. She grew up in Chicago and graduated from St. Casimir High School in 1965. Mary was married to Ken Svoboda of Cicero and following their marriage they resided in Cicero. To this union was born one son, Jeffery Svoboda. Later, Ken and Mary were divorced, but she continued to reside in Cicero. Mary was Assistant Manager of the Ace Hardware in Cicero for years where she enjoyed the hardware business and especially loved taking care of her customers. Mary loved music, especially Polkas and listened to them often. She loved to knit and made many an afghan and other garments. Mary loved to be on the Internet and to communicate with her many Facebook friends. Surviving Mary is her sister-in-law, Janice Wobbenhorst Siwy, of Belden, Nebraska; her son; her sister-in-law, Darlene Svoboda, and numerous cousins.
