Maureen Beth Morden (Powell) died on Sunday, October 1st, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was a woman who loved her family, friends, and dogs dearly. She will be remembered for her welcoming smile and infectious laugh. She is preceded in death by her sister Carol Ann Minor, son Ronald “Scott” Pohlmyer, and husband, John Morden. She is survived by her children, daughters Susan Spice, Sharon (Mark) Hetzel, and sons Raymond (Kerry) Pohlmyer, and Sean (Kristin) Morden. Grandchildren Candace and Melissa Spice, Mark, Derek, Zach and Breck Heltzel, Hannah Pohlmeyer and Avery and Bryce Morden. Siblings Karen Orscheln and Leo (Deborah) Powell. . A memorial visitation for Maureen will be on Friday, November 11, 2022 at St. James Catholic Church, 820 N Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60004 from 9 to 10 a.m. with a Memorial Mass at 10 a.m.. For more information call The Sourek Manor Funeral Home at 708-652-6661.
