Mauricio Blanco "Chito"

Mauricio “Chito” Blanco, born August 20, 1974, passed away quietly in his home in Berwyn, Illinois.

He was the beloved son of Clara Calderon and the late Alfonso Blanco, Sr. Mauricio was the youngest of five siblings and was preceded in death by his brother, Alex Blanco.

He leaves behind his loving siblings: Alfonso Blanco, Jorge “Rico” Blanco (Kevin), and Connie Blanco-Lopez (Luis). He was a cherished brother and uncle to many nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in his heart.

Mauricio was a devoted father to his five children—Marisa, Mauricio Jr., Julian, Cassandra, and Geno; who were the center of his life and greatest source of pride.

Known affectionately as “Chito,” he will be remembered for his strong family bonds and the love he shared with those around him. His presence brought warmth to gatherings and comfort to those closest to him. He was a loving friend to all those he came in contact with.

A visitation will be held on May 15, 2026, from 3:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Sourek Funeral Home, 5645 W. 35th Street, Cicero, Illinois
