Judith E. Burke age of Glen Ellyn since 195question.  She is the beloved wife of Donald “Jim”; loving mother of Michael (Megan) Burke and Jeffrey Burke; dear grandmother of Allyson, Grace, Ryan and Miles Burke; dearest daughter of the late Albert and Elizabeth Avena nee: Santogrossi and her late stepfather Robert McCarthy; fond sister of Lois (Ben) Heaton and the late baby Albert Avena and proud uncle of Eric (Carrie) Moran and Sean Moran. Visitation will be Friday, January 20th from 3-8 PM at Leonard Memorial Funeral Home, 565 Duane St. Glen Ellyn. Funeral Mass Saturday 10 AM at St. Petronille Church, 420 Glenwood Ave. Glen Ellyn, IL. Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery in Wheaton, IL. Judy graduated from Glenbard Township High School in 1959. She then attended beauty school which started her career at Ellyn Beauty salon which she later took over with her longtime friend, the late Sue Allen. Judy became well known throughout Glen Ellyn and Lombard for her find hair styling abilities.  She was a cornerstone in the Glen Ellyn community and her legacy will live on forever.  She loved her grandkids, her friends, her community, her clients, black coffee and her “Special” Manhattans.
