Sandra Casey

On this glorious, beautiful day, April 26,2021, the sun came up over the horizon and Sandra Kay Casey was not there to greet it. She had slipped away in the wee hours of the morning to travel to a land of endless glorious day. She was 68 years old, having been born January 3, 1953, in Freeburn, Kentucky. Upon her arrival she was greeted by countless loved ones who had made the same travel arrangements as she. Her beloved mother, Missouria and stepfather Boyd Smìth and her father Elmer Wolford were among those who had gone on before her as was her grandmother, Georgia Chapman, who was there so many times for her. Among others were her aunts, Venia Rayburn, Alene Kolff, Lana Kays, and Maxine Hernandez who were more sisters than aunts. Her brother Roger Lee Wolford as well as her husband Jim Casey were there. Most wonderful of all, however, was her reunion with her daughter, Kimberly Ann Mounts and her face to face meeting with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Those left to celebrate her life and cherish her memory include her former husband, Clifford Mounts with whom she had four wonderful children: Clifford Dean ( Jodi) Jeffrey Lee , and Melinda Sue, all of Braidwood, Illinois, her sister, Charlene (Greg) Hensley, of Woodman, Kentucky, sister-in-law Maureen (John) Schweitzer; aunts Priscilla (Gene) Peterson, Ona ( Richard) Flippo; uncles Sidney (Bonnie) Chapman, Allen (Zenna) Chapman, Grant (Kim) Chapman ; grandchildren Megan Mounts, Ashton Haymes, Olivia Houseman, Christian Mounts, Natalee Mounts, Amaryia and Charlie Mounts, Tyler Mounts; great grandchildren Landon Johnson Abraham Kahn, Jaydin Lilly and Caleb Logan ; nephews Robbie Wolford, Michael Wolford and Evan Hensley; nieces Marissa Pruitt and Meaghan Kalis and Kandace Hensley with whom she shared a special bond. She also had a very close relationship with her cousin, Ethel Mitchell, who was so very good to her and her uncle, Grant Lee Chapman with whom she spoke every day Visitation with be from 3-7pm on Thursday, April 29, 2021, in the chapel of the Sourek Funeral Home in Cicero, Illinois. The funeral will be Friday, April 30, 2021, at 8:30am, with burial to follow at Forest Home Cemetery in Forest Park, Illinois.
